QR Code
A QR Code (Quick Response Code) is a two-dimensional matrix symbology consisting of black cells in a square grid on a white background. A user scans the QR Code, usually from a mobile device, which directs them to a page or message. A QR Code can store 1 to 4,296 characters of any spoken language. The maximum number of characters is determined by the number of rows and columns required. The code’s pattern contains three square boxes in its corners, which distinguishes QR Codes from other kinds of codes. The QR Code expands or contracts, depending on the amount of information it needs to accommodate. QR Codes are held to the ISO/IEC 18004 international standard, ensuring that they all follow a similar structure and are used in the correct applications. These applications range anywhere from simple text to more complex links to websites, payment systems, or authentication and security measures.
