Smart Label Data Requirements
When sending Smart Label data files electronically to WLP, the following requirements must be met in order for us to properly generate smart labels.
- Text file format (fixed record length up to 255 characters)
- All fields in the record must be a fixed length
- For record layout showing the positioning of each field should accompany order
- For each record listed, one label will be printed
- All files should be sorted in the order that the labels are to be printed
- Only the information that is to appear on the label should be in the file
- A layout of the label should accompany the order. This layout will show where each field should be positioned on the label
